General eNewsletters
Detailed cable management systems product information is now online!  You can check it out here and/or read about it in this eNewsletter.  Cable management systems are key mechanical components used in Technology and Military rack-mount applications (such as computer servers and ruggedized electronic equipment) to prevent cable tangling.  In this eNewsletter, we detail many of the engineering considerations taken into account when designing cable management systems for Technology and Military applications, such as drawer slide and/or rack interface/attachment points, open position sag and twist, cable geometries and weight, and ambient environments.  We also spotlight several of the cable management systems we have in our portfolio that have been engineered taking all of these factors into consideration.  Cable management systems spotlighted include the CMS-15 (for 1U applications) and CRS-25/30 (for 2U and larger applications), both ideal for ruggedized military applications, and the MCR-1019 (for 1U applications) and CMS-350 (for 2U and larger applications), both ideal for technology applications, where product simplicity and tool-less technologies are premium design considerations.

Technology eNewsletters (Servers, Data Storage and Telecommunications)
January 2005 – In this issue, we highlight important facets in rack-mount trends for technology rack-mount applications (servers, data storage, and telecommunications).  We also introduce a new cable management system for chassis that are sized 2U and larger.  We additionally introduce “Lunch & Learn” presentations, which are free technical seminars provided to you by our Sales Engineering Teams, and introduce Pati Brock – one of our valued Engineers on the Technology Team at JES.

December 2004 - Read about current trends for custom engineered rack-mount solutions in the server and data storage markets, a new cable management system for rack-mount chassis sized 2U and larger (the new CMS-350), and how we serve the Telecommunications market. Also get the inside scoop on “Lunch & Learns” – we come to you and lunch is on us!

Military/Homeland Security eNewsletters
February/March 2005 – “Shock blocks” are preserving the integrity of products against shock and vibration extremes that are common in military/homeland security applications.  In this issue, learn the engineering behind “shock blocks”.  We also introduce a key value proposition to the military/homeland security market: precision machining and sourcing engineering, and how they facilitate JES’ ability to routinely provide ruggedized value-added total solutions – that is, integrated kits and mechanical subsystems.  And once again, we spotlight our new family of products for 1U applications in the military/homeland security market.

January 2005 – In this issue, we highlight important facets of custom engineering and manufacturing for the military/homeland security market, emphasizing Bill of Materials consolidation for integrated slide kits and mechanical subsystems.  We also make mention of a new family of ruggedized products for 1U rack-mount applications in the military/homeland security market.  “Lunch & Learn” presentations – which are free technical seminars provided to you by our Sales Engineering Teams – are introduced, in addition to an interview with Bao Nguyen (“The BAO-INATOR”), one of the Engineering Designers on the Military/Homeland Security Team of JES.

December 2004 - Get all the details on our new products for 1U applications for Military/Homeland security. Also read our new Military/Homeland Security case study – where we integrated a 24-item bill of material for a complex rack-mount system. And find out how Value-Added Total Solutions benefit Military/Homeland Security applications.

Industrial/Commercial eNewsletters
June 2005 - Read about vertical linear motion applications in the industrial apparatus.  Orienting linear motion systems and access solutions in the vertical direction introduces unique engineering considerations.  We also discuss short linear motion applications and thier engineering considerations.

February/March 2005 - In this eNewsletter, we spotlight patented EZ-RAIL technology for industrial applications.  This single component can provide optimal functionality for quick-disconnect slides that are part of your integrated slide kits or mechanical subassemblies in industrial applications.  We also discuss the importance of applications engineering for extra heavy-duty applications common in the industrial marketplace – and include a case study for a high speed train application.  And finally, we introduce Nick Regalado, a Design Engineer, who may very well be the one working on your Company’s applications!

January 2005 - Read about a key value proposition to the industrial market: the integration of advanced sheet metal manufacturing capabilities into roll form (steel slides) and CNC machining (aluminum slides) manufacturing processes and how that facilitates the manufacturing of integrated kits and mechanical subassemblies for industrial applications. We also include the details of our sheet metal manufacturing capabilities, equipment, metal thicknesses, and a lot more.  “Lunch & Learn” presentations – that is, free technical seminars provided to you by our Sales Engineering Teams – are also introduced.

December 2004 - What are some common applications in the diverse Industrial/Commercial market? Get the answer here! We also discuss Value-Added Total Solutions and demonstrate it in a detailed case study for a large semi-automated industrial machine application. And meet Ron Judge - one of our Mechanical Engineers!
